black hole

There must be a black hole which sucks in all the workers over age 50 in the office.
Well, I don’t see anybody who’s around 50 or older except who is CEO or COO or something like that.
Where are they :-?

I was talking with my friend yesterday about not being able to find a role model. We were talking about women who are over 50 (maybe 60) , independent, successful, enjoy working (and life!), elegant, attractive :) etc.
Well, I’m not planning to stay where I work for now when I get 50 (hopefully not!), but I was just wondering if I could find somebody who fits in that category... either men or women.
Nope ... it’s hard. Like I said in the beginning, there are basically no old people at work. Strange, huh?

My friend said she actually met 2 women who are around 60-65 and started hanging out with them. They are very cool, powerful, successful and beautiful — they are in fashion / jewelry industry, so my friend felt that she could live like them when she gets 60. It’s kind of nice. On the other hand, I haven’t really met anybody like that yet :( and makes me wonder or scared what I would be doing when I’m at that age... I certainly need to work, but I don’t want to be a "salary-man (woman)" -- or even if I want to, maybe I won’t be able to ;) -- from the fact that I don’t see any older people at work.... Maybe I should start up my own company :-?

There are a few older people that I felt that “wow, I wanna be like her”, but I’m not sure they are financially successful. They are all some sort of artist types — :P
Maybe that’s what I need to be... a poor artist ;-)

Hmm.. I just thought it’s kind of funny that I don’t see any attractive person who is in her 50s or 60s and can be my role model. I need more searching...
